Thanks for the great article! (And reminder to add jackets to the pile of camping gear as we get ready to make the cross country trek to watch it.)

I also hope the eclipse also becomes a opporutnity for the astronomy community to dialogue with mine. I’m a professional *astrologer* — and though many of us know a lot about what astronomers do and discover, I’m not sure the reverse is true.

Like astronomers many of us are smart, thinking people; some of us have PhDs and MAs. (I’m even in Mensa, when I pay my dues that is.) We just ask different kinds of questions of the Cosmos, and see other kinds of patterns in addition to the ones measurable with a ruler.
